I have had this car in my workshops for around 6 months – I had intended to keep it for myself. Reality is I have too much on my plate so I have decided to let it go.
My lads have spent some time getting it ready for its MOT – have now replaced Front Discs and Pads + Anti-roll bar link + Front to rear brake pipes (x2) + 3 Tyres. Candidly it’s not the finest car I have ever bought and at this point in time, it would not make sense to spend some real money on it.
BUT it has the makings of a future classic and in the meantime could just be a usable daily drive PLUS the fact it has a private plate which from memory has a value of around £300 makes it a decent buy.
I am always saddened to see these cars with their MG badges and Union flag on the back – thinking about what could and should have been. It’s an absolute disgrace that we once had a thriving car manufacturing industry and in a few short decades gave it all away – Hillman – Triumph – Singer – Sunbeam – Riley – Standard – Austin – Morris – now all gone!
Coming with a 12 Month MOT, Service and our own ONE MONTH WARRANTY – this really is excellent value for money.
