Up The Villa

Little Belters Tie In With Local Football Team.
Following on from the great success in the Olympics and Paralympics, coupled with the return of the football season, LittleBelters are getting in on the sporting feel-good-factor and are now investing in local grass roots football at Stockport District Sunday Football League side, Norris Villa SMFC – with a new Shirt Sponsorship deal with the side’s 1st and Reserve teams.

With LittleBelters owner Dave Woolf being raised in Heaton Norris, he has been involved in supporting the local football team – Norris Villa. This Shirt Sponsorship deal though brings Dave and LittleBelters even closer to the club.

As Leigh Autos, and now with LittleBelters, we have a proud history of supporting local businesses, charities and organisations. With Dave’s links to Norris Villa in the past, when the opportunity arose to support the club in this way, he was more than delighted to help out.

Here, the 1st Team team’s are pictured parading their new kits with the LittleBelters logo proudly sitting on the front.

WINNING START FOR FIRST XI

The first game of the season saw Villa’s 1st Team get off to a winning start with a well-deserved 3-2 win at Cherry Tree FC in Brabyns Park, Marple. Hat-trick hero Caylem Bateson scoring his and Villa’s 3rd late-on having been pegged back twice.

RESERVES OFF TO THRILLING START.

In the second week of the season, I caught up with the reserves who – having lost narrowly late on the previous week at home to Stockport County Supporters Club – were at it again with the high drama.

This week they were on the right side of a 6-5 win against TMS at Oakhurst Drive, Cheadle Heath. Goalscorers were Hester, Wardle and Douglas – this despite going down to 10 men early on in the game!

As big football fans here at LB Towers, we are delighted to have this association with Norris Villa and we will be keeping a close eye on Villa this season and updating you on how both sides are doing.
